TS mini maker fair event

Robots, drones, wind simulators among the highlights of the fifth edition of the Trieste Mini Maker Faire, this year realized in collaboration with proESOF
The 2018 Trieste Mini Maker Faire promises to provide a wide array of maker projects for everyone, no matter age and gender: air and water drones, robots able to write and paint, a 3D printed model of Trieste to assemble, recycling, a cloud chamber, a "Bora" simulator, interactive games and much more, in a joyful celebration of engineering, crafts and the do-it-yourself mindset. Kids, who are very welcome to the event, can choose between a set of interactive games and activities.
Beside science and technology, this fifth edition will be enlived by music and art, live performances and DIY music. Maxino, famous artist from Trieste, will be asked to compose the first official anthem of "Trieste European City of Science" live.
This year, the Trieste Mini Maker Faire will gather over 200 inventors, makers, scientists and artists. Among these, over 90 come from Trieste, more than 70 are from the Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto regions, but there are also 30 from Slovenia, 10 from Croatia, 2 from Switzerland.
The two-day event will run from 28 to 29 July. This summer edition, traditionally hosted at the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) campus in Miramare, is part of the proESOF activities, towards ESOF 2020 Trieste: it's the first proESOF event after Toulouse has passed the torch to Trieste to organize the 2020 EuroScience Open Forum last week. Together with other local authorities, Professor Stefano Fantoni (Champion ESOF2020) has already confirmed his attendance, to talk about the ambitious project leading Trieste to 2020.
