The meeting entitled “Tecnologie elettroniche al servizio della disabilità visiva” (Electronic technologies for the visual impairment) will take place on 13 December 2019 at the Camera di Commercio of Friuli Venezia Giulia (Piazza della Borsa 14, Trieste, Sala Maggiore)
Technology and electronics have made an important improvement in the personal autonomy of the visually impaired from the seventies to the present, offering integrated solutions in the most important sectors, alongside those that will always remain irreplaceable elements such as the Braille method and the white stick. In this meeting the most significant steps of this evolutionary journey will be retraced, analyzing the legal and regulatory aspects that arise in different contexts. The last part of the conference will present LETISmart one of the most recent and advanced microelectronic solutions for improving the safety and autonomy of people with visual disabilities in urban developments.
The initiative is a proESOF event organized by AEIT Friuli Venezia Giulia, Unione Italiana Ciechi e Ipovedenti in collaboration with University of Trieste.
